THE SAKYA TRADITION
Delivering the Precious Sakya Teachings Accurately and Entirely in Your Native Languages
April 27, 2021
Dear Dharma Friends,
We hope this newsletter finds you and your loved ones well, wherever you are. We are sharing with you a newly published transcript entitled Teaching on the Seven-Limb Prayer, by His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin Ratna Vajra Rinpoche.
The seven limbs practice is a powerful method to purify all our non-virtuous actions, which are the obstacles of liberation and enlightenment. In this teaching, His Holiness explains these seven limbs based on the seven-limb prayer extracted from the Samantabhadra Prayer, an aspiration prayer. Moreover, His Holiness also provides a step-by-step instruction on how to truly practice the Dharma, which we may have often overlooked. The teaching text is available in English and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional). You may also listen to the audio here.
As of April 24, we have accumulated 2,072,422,774 Green Tara mantras through the 2021 Green Tara Worldwide Mantra Accumulation program. With the alarming surge of the pandemic in many parts of the world, let us join hands together to pray and supplicate to Mother Tara. Through the power of prayer and coupled with developing an altruistic thought to all beings, as advised by His Holiness the Sakya Trichen, we will be able to overcome all difficulties and challenges including this pandemic.
